CNN/Opinion Research Corp. released the results of a recent poll about Americans main economic concerns today. CNNmoney.com featured a story by David Goldman highlighting some of the findings and providing a financial article I found wholly interesting.

910 out of the 1000 American adults who responded to the survey said they were somewhat or very concerned with the rate of inflation. Unemployment concerns weren’t far behind. Goldman said “86% said they are worried about jobs.”

According to the article, Federal officials are prioritizing unemployment, trusting inflation will naturally correct itself. Sam Bullard, economist for Wachovia (NYSE:WB) said “The economy is lucky that consumer spending hasn't fallen off the cliff.”
