Economic Slow Down Isn't a Recession...Yet
I stumbled across an informative post on MSNBC.com business page. Most "answer your questions" columns are short on the info, providing only a cursory read. First explaining the recent economic slow-down cannot be called a recession (yet is a possibility), Schoen immediately gets to telling it like it is. He said while lenders hoarding their money (aka the sub-prime mortage crisis)
is bad we should be more concerned about the drastic drop in home prices. Some homeowners now find themselves upside-down on their mortgage payments. This may explain why so many Americans are worried about the economy.
