World Against Toys Causing Harm (WATCH) released their 35th annual “10 Worst Toys” list Tuesday. The list is big news this year, as there has been an usually high number of toy recalls recently, especially products made in China.

Just in time for the holidays, the list contains a few popular names, most notably Jack Sparrow’s Spinning Dagger, an item based on the very popular (DisneyNYSE:DIS) Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy. Many of the dangers are related to choking hazards.

And while consumers may be quick to avoid products made in China, recent studies have shown that the recalls and dangers stem from design flaws rather than poor manufacturing.
