British Airways is getting ready to endure cabin crew strikes that will total nine days over the coming weeks.
Massive disruptions are expected when the strikes, three 72-hour periods starting on January 29, February 5 and February 12, begin.
Not all of the British Airways 14,000 cabin crew, of which 11,000 are T&G members, will strike. Strikes will still leave the airline working with a skeleton staff. The T&G union is accused of hardening their stance despite the hopes of BA to divert the strikes with negotiations. T&G is demanding pay increases of 18 percent and a return to previous levels of absence due to sickness of 22 days a year, according to this TimesOnline.com article.
If you happen to be flying on those strike dates BA is allowing customers to change their flight plans, attempting to appease their customers.
