Walt Disney Company's (DIS) Buena Vista Game unit will start a video game studio that will focus on creating new and Disney-inspired titles for Nintendo's hand-held DS player and Wii console.
The unit, called the Fall Line Studio, is based in Salt Lake City and will headed by new vice president and general manager Scott Novis, who led the Rainbow Studios team that developed the popular video game based on Disney Pixar's "Cars" film.
Nintendo's Wii console will debut on Nov. 19 and its DS players have made a favorable impression with their two screens in a book format and stylus controlled play.
