Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFCKF.PK) has decided, after two years of careful secret taste tests, to stop frying their famous chicken in artery-clogging trans fats.
Although the announcement has won the praise of consumer advocates, including The Center for Science in the Public Interest, which sued KFC last spring over trans fat content in its food, other industry leaders are not so happy about the idea. The Center announced they have withdrawn the lawsuit as a result of the announcement.
Under a proposal, that went before a public hearing an hour before KFC's announcement, New York would be the first to ban unhealthy artificial fats.
According to this NYTimes.com article, E. Charles Hunt, executive vice president of the New York State Restaurant Association, said the move would be a "recipe for disaster that could be devastating to New York City's restaurant industry."
Some KFC sites have already switched and were carefully watched to see if customers would notice the difference. They did not. By April, all 5,500 KFC restaurants will have made the switch.

I would like to have a list of the oil which reads no trans oil
thanks
