
While Ford, DaimlerChrysler report low sales; Toyota sees surges. Struggling General Motors Corp. (GM) got the worst of the slump with sales plunging 25.7 percent last month.
Rising fuel costs, which also led to domestic car sales woes, were a boon to Toyota Motor Corp. (TM) crediting their fuel-efficient lineup for much of tis 14.4 percent sales increase over June 2005 numbers.
