
Couric will also contribute to the popular CBS news show "60 Minutes" and help with CBS primetime news specials.
The CBS "Evening News" currently gets close to 8 million visitors a night, but that's less than the figures for its counterparts at NBC and ABC.
I think it's great that Couric plans to step into the primetime spotlight. The world certainly needs more women to fill such highly visible positions.
